He felt the intrusion, how could he not. The probing of the mind when the mind is so sensetive can leave marks. Autumn was careful, however, and when she left his mind it was indeed silent. He could hear his thoughts. It was relieving, really, he was feeling so... alone...
"where..."
His voice was shakey, he liked it, but... if there was maybe something else? he hadn't been left to his own devices for so long he was finding them strange. He was finding it odd.

"What happened?" Autumn said softly, "How is it now? Is it quiet?" She rubbed Sylvains arm gently and then pulled herself to her feet offering Sylvain a hand up.
"You look confused...I built up some walls, to help keep things quiet, but you'll need to learn to do it yourself..."

what happened? Nothing happened, not really, things just got hairy. He looked up at autumn and then reached up, taking her hand and pulling himself up. He didn't give a lot of weight to her, instead he used the wall behind him more. He looked left and right, at the people walking around. How could he be so alone when surrounded by people. It truly was a terrifying feeling for someone who was so used to not being alone, you know, upstairs...
"I... hey watch out"
He reached out and hessitated a moment. Well he had to do it. He grabbed her arm lightly and gave her a bit of a tug, pulling her out of the way of a running fellow. Not a big gesture, but he would have jostled her. Sylvain quickly dropped his hands into his pockets.
"uhm, where you headed?"
He was sort of avoiding her question, what had happened had been nothing really? he had forgotten his drugs, that's all... He figured.

Autumn didn’t need to be a mind reader to know something was going on with Sylvain, from her time with in his mind she could see so many twisted routes and fractures of his mind she did not know how much was down to his ability and how much was down to sickness. Suddenly she found herself pulled forward by Sylvain and watched as some guy almost ran into her. She smiled and watched as Sylvain pushed his hands back into his pockets, she couldn’t make out or read his body language; he just seemed very, very lost.
“I was on my way home,” Autumn answered, aware he was ignoring her question, “You were lucky i was in the area...Fancy a coffee?”

Coffee, it sounded nice. He probably owed her anyway, right? For coming down and saving him like she had? He nodded and lifted a hand from his pocket in order to run it through his hair. hair? hadn't he been wearing his hat before? Maybe not... Just in case he gave a quick look around. Yes, he was stalling a moment, usually he could make his choice based upon what the voices told him, yet those voices were gone, and it was a bit strange thinking for himself.
"yeah... Coffee sounds, good? my treat."
She had invited, but he would insist on paying. Not to the point where if she argued he wouldn't give in though, he'd enjoy the drink and company just as much no matter WHO payed.

Autumn smiled and pushed her hands into her jacket pocket and gestured with a tilt of her head toward the small coffee house near the main exit. her tride was slow, hesitant not to loose Sylvain, something inside her drove her to keep a careful eye upon the young man. He certainly did pull out the protective nature with in her. She held the door open for him when they reached the coffee house and waited for him to step inside before she followed, taking a seat in the far corner near the large windows where she could watch the commuters making their way home.
A waitress came over and Autumn smiled, "A large late," She smiled then looked to Sylvain to order. Watching the waitress take their orders Autumn pulled off her jacket and placed it on the spare chair and rolled her shoulders, making her shirt a little less confiding .
"Is everything always so dramatic with you?" Autumn finally said when the waitress left, "Maybe one day we'll meet in less unusual circumstances..."

He would nod a little bit, looking to the coffee shop. He was glad it wasn't a terribly long stroll, as he was still having an interesting time in his head, being alone. He stumbled upon something in that empty mind of his. He was, in fact, lost. He had not idea where the station they were hiding in was at. This could be a problem.
Sylvain didn't even notice that they had entered. He did notice when the waitress came up, he would have to order.
"Coffee... just black?"
He nodded to the woman before she wandered off. Then there was a turning of teh head back down to look at Autumn. She was a looker wasn't she? This time he knew it was his own thoughts, an odd sensation.
Was his life always this dramatic? "yes, well usually."
Less unusual circumstances? "I hope so, I'm sorry that I bothered you. I, uh, meant to call someone else..."
Yes he avoided saying whom it was he was attempting to call. Somehow he 'thought' Autumn would think less of him, somehow. And he found that he cared what she thought. It was all so strange for him.

What was it about this guy that drove Autumn to suddenly turn all good Samaritan? She didn't know, maybe she saw something of herself in him, if she had not had the structure and support of The Fifth when she discovered her abilities. She flashed a soft smile with caring eyes and shrugged,
"I'm glad you did call me, even if you didn't mean to, glad i could help..." Autumn said and watched as the waitress brought their coffee's back. Autumn proceeded to empty three sachets of sugar into hers and stirred it thoroughly before taking a tentative sip.
There was a silence, and Autumn casually glanced up to Sylvain as she twiddled with her silver thumb ring before finally breaking the silence.
"I hope next time you call it wont be under such stressful situations..." She smiled, "Because you do realize now, I am most definitely expecting a second phone call...and maybe a third too.." She winked.

Sylvain looked up, his coffee had arrived. that was fast, faster than he expected. He got his drink and dug in his pocket a moment. He payed for the drinks, both, just so that Autumn didn't have the chance. He knew how her type worked, they lulled you into a false sense of security and then payed when you weren't looking. Not that it would be a horrible thing, but Sylvain felt he owed her something. He lifted the drink and took a quick sip before setting the drink down again and smiling accross the table to her, a little bit. Wait, had he let silence slip into the conversation? in his head? he was actually enjoying it a little bit, not having to listen to voices all the time. A second, or third call?
"I can call on friday? at eight..."
his eyes glanced up, and slifted from side to side slowly. It was about now that something should be either reassuring him, or telling him he was a horrible idiot. Nothing, though, just the expectant, and perhaps nervous, silence. He lifted his drink absently and took a sip. He wasn't really asking her out, it was more of a test for his head, and it was passing... if there being no voices was passing...

Autumn laughed over the rim of her coffee cup at Sylvain, "Well, if you insist, i suppose I'll have to except your call then..." She joked and place her coffee cup down. Her green hues studied the man, trailing down his strong features, watching his eyes dart about as if he almost seamed to be waiting for something to happen, to hear something. She wondered then how long it had been since he had heard silence. The barriers she built in his mind would not hold forever, he needed to learn how to build them himself, and sometimes, a person just did not have to control to maintain such a thing. She recalled the noise, the chaos in her mind when she first developed her abilities, thankfully The Fifth had some pretty experienced telepaths to help her through he transition.
"how does it feel?" She asked, "The silence?"
