«« Lately I've been feeling low I've been feeling alone, the things I used to be I miss the things I used to see The blonde could feel himself shiver at the beauty's touch. She called him an idiot! An idiot out of all names. Who ever came up with that sticks and stones crap really didn't get out much. Soren, vampire he maybe, was still human on the inside. That word; feelings. Yeah he still had those. He wasn't the toughest vampire around. Some would even say that it was a wasted gift on him. The blonde wouldn't go as far to agree with them but those people were right to some degree. He couldn't explain why, but apart of him really never felt whole since he was changed into a vampire. Clinging to his beloved camera, the blue eyed vampire allowed himself to be taken away. He didn't understand what he did that made him an idiot though. It still had hurt his feelings. He looked from the tall beautiful stranger to the beauty woman. He was fighting back the urge to take some pictures of a lover's quarrel. Soren gripped the camera tightly and looked back down. If he didn't see them then maybe he didn't have to worry about it. Feeling a whole new wave of hurt come over him, the vampire began to pout once more. "Was I really bothering you miss beauty? Mr. Beauty I didn't mean to bother her, I only wanted some practice shots. I wasn't going to keep the pictures. I promise." He felt like a kid with his hand caught in the cookie jar. He didn't even like cookies! And what was wrong with people knowing he was a vampire? Even though he didn't feel comfortable about telling people, once it was out there… it was out there. Everyone heard it so it didn't bother him anymore. He looked back to the Mr.Beauty. Surely you both had names, unless you don't mind me calling you miss and mr beauty [/blockquote] ------------------- tag Esme status complete appearance outfit

Esme groaned, grabbing a handful of her hair at the roots with her right hand, she inadvertently balled her left hand into a fist at her side. Rather than loose her temper just yet, she answered the little vampire's easiest question, "I'm Esme Lolland, I hail from Leeds."
After that Esme took a deep calming breath and took a single step to the left, untangling her hand from her hair. She looked across the street at all of the humans bustling around, completely unawares of the meeting of the bumbling supernatural. After taking a deep breath, she turned back to the two and began to explain herself.
At this point she was completely composed, back to the Esme she had always been. "No," Esme began with the young vampire, "I'm not mad at you for merely pursuing your art. I'm upset with you because you would admit to being a stalker of the night in front of a crowd of humans, without even being aware of whether or not I'm a normal human. Are you attempting to get yourself killed, or worst, destroy civilization as we know it? Are you truly that daft not to know what would happen if you made such a revelation with any other female human in this square?"
"And you," Esme said, pivoting slightly to look directly at the tall one, she had to look directly up to even make eye contact with him, "I know that you're not a normal human. You emanate something different, nothing like our little vampire here, but something from another world. You may have wanted to make sure that he wasn't bothering me, but you got yourself tangled up in this as well. What are you, truly? You're not human, and you're not a vampire, I can tell you that much, but there's so much more in this world."
Esme took yet another deep breath, hoping that she was clear enough to both of them to get her questions answered. She looked impatiently from one to the other and then realized, the tall one had always been waiting for the little vampire to answer for him, "You first," she said nodding towards him.

She was right.
Xandrael had tangled itself up in this mess, but disentangling itself would not have been difficult. It could have sung a song to forget, and the maiden's memories of it would fade into the recesses of her mind. But it did not. It felt that to be unfair to her keen perception, a punishment for her awareness. She was not at fault. It would have to find another way out of this situation.
Certainly, this young woman...this Esme Lolland of Leeds, was not one to be fooled. Whatever tale the angel told would be challenged, if it was anything less than the truth. As it were, the angel could not really lie outright, but it could embellish the truth...or rather, reveal only parts of it.
Very carefully, Xandrael met the girl's eyes, exaggerating the inhuman quality of its amethyst gaze. It did not blink, long enough for her to notice that it did not have to. And then, in a soft voice that seemed to ring out like a silver bell, it replied, "There is so much more to this world, Esme Lolland of Leeds...You'd be well-advised to not delve into it so incautiously..." It glanced quickly but pointedly at the vampire before looking back at her. Sighing, as if resigned to the reveal, it continued on. "...I am a messenger. A messenger of an unseen power..."
It encompassed the vampire in its gaze in the pause, answering his question as well. "...I am named Xandrael. But you may call me Xander."

«« Crestfallen soul Rest for this night Love is here Right here under my wings The vampire fiddled with his camera once more as he slowly moved behind the tall other. She was a scary lady from Leeds. And mentioning the "K" Word. Was it true though? Could a vampire really get killed? If so how? "Well Miss Esme from Leeds I really wouldn't call it stalking… So she was right about the whole, "tell everybody and everyone" thing. Soren didn't understand the whole protection from humans. He trusted easily, even if it seemed difficult to gain. He reviewed his pictures almost a thousand times as she vented on. He could live forever and never understand human females. Pun not intended. He took a chance to look past the tall other to look as The Esme from Leeds as she talked to the man. He stared blankly. She wasn't adressing to him so there was no reason for the vampire to listen to her. Poor bastard that courted her. She had this fire inside of her though. But the blue eyed man looked back down at his camera as he gaze came over to him again. His camera looked more appealing then him about to be slammed on again. Slowly licking his lips, Soren realized that he was getting hungry again. Again, completely ignoring the other two; the vampire began to search for his next meal. Nothing had really appealed to his eye and he was beginning to lose hope in finding his next meal here so the vampire slowly eased his way back into the conversation. "Xander yuck. Now Xanadu. Xanadu is an amazing name! He nodded with approval and flashed his slick canines towards what looked to be his neck victim. He slowly moved away from the group. So long, farewell, adieu he said softly. It was as if he was whispering to himself.

Esme nodded at Xander, she had accepted his answer. The young vampire, on the other hand, was a different story. He didn't seem interested in protecting human life nor keeping this world a secret.
Soren began to mumble something about leaving while he licked his lips and Esme followed his gaze. He was headed towards a young woman, and his eyes had glazed over. The only thing Esme could consider he was going to do was that he was headed to attack the young girl.
"Oh no you don't," Esme said, pointing at Soren and silently casting a binding spell. "I haven't finished speaking to you, yet. And the last thing that I want is a dead human while I'm anywhere near to stop it."
This young vampire was going to be a pain in Esme's tushy, she figured that much already.
