"The voice of my creator," the answer came so simple from hir lips. Adina didn't think twice of it. For it was the reason shi was. The voice came to hir, telling Adina what shi was needed for. If not through the creator, usually through the higher angels. As long as Adina kept hir thoughts tuned to that, existence seemed simple. It was when shi let the darker beings into hir head, that could cause Adina trouble. But few knew hir one weakness, one curiosity. And that was best.
The angel felt the boiling trouble beneath Cadence's skin. The woman was hurt, fighting to find herself, fighting against what others thought of her. The voices inside the mortal's head were causing the feeling of loneliness and doubt. It wasn't the voice of Adina's creator, nor the voices of angels. "I ..live..a simple existence. Although, I believe from time to time that we should question the voices in our heads, the creator to which we believe. No one was created without the use of thought for a reason."
"You...you are deeply troubled by something...aren't you?" hir voice played like a melodic chime in the air, hoping to bring a little comfort even if just by the sound. "Sometimes, it helps to talk..to another. Since the creator does not always seem to be listening." Adina flashed her warm smile, that seemed even in the cold to give off a warmth. Like a brush of the sun to the skin.

It was such a simple answer, for some reason she'd expected something less common from this confident woman. But searching for god was a goal that was probably held by a majority of the population. It made the woman seem more natural, more real. Cadence realized that she'd begun to build the woman into something more than human in her mind, it was probably due to the overwhelming comfort the woman seemed to give off like heat.
Cadence nodded. She was glad to see that the woman didn't believe completely in blind faith, Cadence couldn't agree with thoughtless obedience. But what Adina was saying made perfect sense, like she was saying exactly what the wolf needed to hear.
She laughed softly when the woman called her on her troubled thoughts. Had it been that obvious? Though she was right that god didn't always seem to be listening. "It's...It's nothing, really." She paused and then thought better of it, Adina was so confident, so caring, maybe she'd have some sort of answer for her. "Can I ask you something? What's considered a sin? I mean, I know what they are but..." She sighed. "Let's say someone did something horrible, somethings, but they didn't mean to. Like, for instance, if a man looses control of his car and kills a pedestrian...does that still count as a sin?" Or if a werewolf had no control over themselves and massacred people in the woods for months on end.

Adina lifted hir eyes up to the heavens and softly grinned. The questions were ones shi heard before. Humans put such a price in sin, as if one held a higher price then the other. Of course, some sin were held to be greatly horrible by mortal emotions and minds. Shi shook hir head. Adina's long blonde curls tumbled back and forth over hir shoulders, and the smile disolved into a soft look. It wasn't turned to anger or disappointment, but a soft sense of being content.
"Sin can be simple, or it can be very raw...dark," even as Adina spoke of the dark, shi didn't seem to become one of those bible thumpers who bashed books to people's heads in making them think they were all going to hell right then and there. "There are things that people do every day, that are considered sin. No one is so pure, so perfect that they do not commit sin."
"But, what most do not realize is the creator does not expect you to be perfect, Cadence," Adina drew hir blue eyes to the woman next to hir. "You just have to believe. And attempt to stay away from the darkness. To do your best." Adina knew it sounded odd. It wasn't what was preached in the pulpits, not on television, or in magazines. And it was the reason so many did not believe what the angel spoke. "The creator isn't as hateful....as he is made to be."

She watched the woman's face turn to a contented mask, Adina looked wise and like her mind was far away. It was the kind of look that you saw in church stained glass windows and paintings of saviors. Not something she expected when dealing with the topic of sin, but it made her feel better none the less.
She was relieved to find that Adina wasn't one of those hellfire and damnation religious zealots. She'd never thought of sin as being varied, or that there might be different ways of looking at it. She nodded when Adina said that people sinned every day. No one was completely pure, these days next to no one was anywhere close or even tried to be.
Cadence found herself smiling at Adina's words. It was like a weight off her chest. What the woman said made sense, try your hardest. Cadence had done that, right? As soon as she could remember the nights of the full moon, she'd fought to control herself. God couldn't blame her for what she couldn't control....she wanted so desperately to believe that. But every other sermon, book or tv yelled the exact opposite at her. The rest of the world said she was a monster and shouldn't exist. She shook those thoughts off, holding tight to the comfort that this woman offered her. "Thank you." She whispered.
A small, drive thru coffee stand was just up ahead. Cadence walked up to the window and ordered a plain mocha. She wasn't one for all the extra cream and sugar, it was to sweet. "You're sure you don't want anything?"
