Jonas had spoken with his fellow Councilors, and decided it was time to reaffirm their alliance with The Fifth. He also wanted to see how much the Vatican and The Fifth were aware of. He had a firm dislike for the Vatican, their hypocrisy was boundless and they had done nearly as much harm as they had good. From aiding and abetting the theft of Europe's treasures, to worser things during the Inquisition, to the slaughter of the Templars.
The paganization of Christianity, the extinction of the true destrier and depriving the world of one of the largest collections of porn...
He chuckled at the last. That was a little known truth. The Church did have quite the collection, he imagined they justified it as 'research'.
One handed with protective goggles maybe.
"Maybe that's why you need special gloves in their ancient documents room." Jonas opined to the Demon Within.
Leave the jokes to me, Buddy.
Jonas frowned and took a single forward step. One moment he was walking down the hall of his home, and the next he was stepping past a seat across from Autumn Walker's desk. He settled into the chair gracefully, and smiled warmly.
"Good Morning, Miss Walker, I hope you can forgive the presumption, but I feel we have pressing matters to discuss." He nodded, and smiled.
You think her desk can support both our weights?

Autumn was flicking through page after page of reports, signing off each one as she went. She had to get reports from each of her team members, to then in turn send to her superiors. She would go through, give her stamp and signatures, then place them aside. Happily in her own little world of re-reading past supernatural encounters she did not feel him enter the room. Her mind’s eye quietly sleeping as she daydreamed away. Then, heard the voice and let out a loud squeak of shock. Not exactly showing the extent of her military training.
“Bloody hell!” She exclaimed and held her hands out in shock, “Don’t you people knock!” She cast her eyes across the desk, looking through the long, loose strands of dark hair at the man before her. She took a long breath in and pulled down her metaphysical barriers allowing her mind’s eye to taste-so to speak- who or what the man was. She felt magic, power and....No, that could not be right, a fallen angel...but hidden almost, as if under the human skin. It was then she finally clicked and shook her head as she realized who the man was before her.
“Jonas i assume?” She smiled and relaxed back in her chair, so this was the elusive creator of the Council, “You need to learn how to knock...”

Jonas’ eyebrows rose when she squeaked, but he did not start. He looked at her with interest, as if taking her measure. When she cursed, he simply smiled slightly, and nodded when she mentioned knocking. “I fear knocking politely has never been our strongest suit.” He felt her doing something, but made no mention of it; he had expected to be given an in-depth look. Jonas would have been disappointed if she hadn’t.
Last time we knocked, Jericho fell. Aah, they don’t build ‘em like they used to.
“Yes, Miss Walker, I am Jonas. May I call you Autumn?” He chuckled at her insistence, and relaxed in his seat. “I though it was past time that we meet, considering the Alliance we have with your Vatican.”
At least she’s not a nun. I’d like to show her a bad habit or two.
Jonas smiled slightly, his dark eyes meeting Autumn’s, “I wanted to see if The Fifth or it’s sponsors were aware of the recent changes in our World.”

Autumn kept her eyes on Jonas and could of sworn there was someone else talking, though she could not make out anything audible, it was like a little whisper masked in static. She frowned then and shrugged it off as nothing more than her hearing things.
“Autumn is fine,” She smiled warmly, “It is a pleasure to meet you Jonas. And yes, I have looked forward to meeting with you, I hear a great many things about you sir.” She said politely and nodded slowly when he asked if she was aware of recent changes.
“I have heard from various sources that Satan has awoken from his slumber. You can imagine the paper work i have had to fill out to explain that Lucifer and Satan are two different beings.”

Jonas’ smile brightened at Autumn’s welcoming expression. “Autumn it will be. It is amongst my favorite seasons.”
Maybe she’ll let us blow on her leaves.
He nodded, “The pleasure is mine, I assure you. You are being kind. I’m certain the Vatican has their opinions about me and my activities.” He tilted his head to one side, still smiling, “I should like to hear your impression, as I am certain you have one. So, if you have any questions about me or the Council, consider this a golden opportunity to ask them.”
Not that we’ll answer them all. You think the Vatican ever got over us reading the Fatima Prophecies? Always a touchy lot.
Jonas nodded gravely, “Then you are well informed indeed.” He paused, “Are you ware of the coming war as well?”

Autumn frowned and her brow rose, crinkling as she heard the word war. She knew it was coming, but that did not mean she wanted to think about it. It was all The Fifth were talking about, sending Agents out into the fury of it all seeking out a way to end it before if even began.
"We are aware that things will not progress smoothly, and a war is inevitable, as you can imagine the Fifth and the Vatican are in a bind as to the fact we must pick a side, Lucifer seams the lesser of two evils, but if we can hinder any war with out taking a side we will."

Jonas could not help but notice her reaction to the word ‘war’. He was pleased to find The Fifth, particularly their Leader, so well informed, and not only that, she was thinking ahead. She was, in the end, only human, and her superiors would send her into danger without blinking any eye; they’d done worse to people like Autumn just for being gifted, they would not balk at sending her into a situation beyond her ken.
We should take her away from all this. Someplace with wine, candles, massage oil…
Jonas nodded, “You are correct. The Vatican would, indeed, be in a bind. What has happened attacks their very foundations. If Lucifer and Satan are not the same being, then this leaves the rest of their – interpretations – open to questions.” He met Autumn’s eyes, “You are entering into a much larger world than you can possibly know, Autumn, and much of it won’t fit in the neat little arrangement that the Vatican would have you believe is true.”
How about none of it? They couldn’t think in a straight line if they tried, and they’ve got more twists than an M. Night Shamalayan film. ‘I see stupid people.’
He sighed, and shook his head almost sadly, “I’m afraid that the conflict is coming. It has already begun. You will begin to see more strife in our Community, more problems on the street. As always, we will do what we can, but you must understand that Satan is not some random Fallen Angel, he is not just a Demon, he is God’s opposite number, where God is Order, Satan is Chaos.” Jonas raised a finger, as if he were writing on the air, and where his fingertip passed, mathematical equations took form and stayed where he wrote them in the air. He gestures, and they floated to the wall. “I do not mean the new mathematically predictable Chaos of popular theories.”
I don’t think she’ll be impressed by the size of your equations.
Jonas frowned slightly, “Satan is Chaos in the truest sense. The things that will happen will be entirely unpredictable, possibly unstoppable. I can make excellent estimations, but Satan is the one variable I cannot solve for.” He gestured and the equations scattered and disappeared. “He can only be stopped, and he needs to be. The Vatican cannot pick their winner, nor can they sit the fence. This battle cannot be prevented. Even I will have to choose a side, and I have long avoided doing so, as protecting humanity from the Supernatural served the balance of powers. But things have changed.” Jonas paused, and looked back at Autumn, “You can be sure that the Council will do all in its power to safeguard humanity and the Earth.”
I’ve got a fence she can sit on…

Autumn leaned back in her chair and folded her arms across her chest. She had never met Jonas before, and yet, here he was telling her a mountain of information she already knew. Did he think she was stupid? or simply human? She sighed and leaned forward, clasping her hands together and meeting Jonas in the eye,
"I am not stupid Jonas, and, contrary to popular belief, I am the best there is with in the Fifth. I take my work very seriously, and while i appreciate your monologue, you have told me what i already know. Did you think we would not search high and low for every ounce of information we could get our hands on. I am perfectly aware Satan is the god of Chaos the yang to the yin so to speak..." She took a deep breath then, "Now, would you like me to recite the scriptures in which i discovered this? Latin or Hebrew? I am fluent in both..."
She held her hands up, "I have spent the past two months weighing up all possible outcomes, this keeps me awake at night, i work 18 hour days trying to find a way to hinder the oncoming war. I appreciate you stating the council will aid me, but unless you have some ounce of Intel i don't already know, i would say you're in the same situation as me...."

Oh, I like her! She’s got spunk. Tell her we’ve been a bad boy and we need a spanking.
Jonas smiled warmly, apparently he either expected the heat, or he was just unmoved by it. His expression did not waver, and when she was done, he nodded. “Forgive the speech, but I had to be sure you knew what it was we faced. I am not unimpressed by your abilities, Autumn, quite the contrary, and I am pleased that the Vatican gave you access to such rare documents. They have withheld such from previous occupants of your seat.”
Yeah, we always have to steal them. I don’t know how the Vatican Librarians all make that same expression of horror at the absence of this or that scroll, but they do. They must attend class in anal retentiveness…you can almost hear the pucker of –
He shook his head, “Unless you can put agents in Hell, the war cannot be stopped. It is already disrupting the natural order. Souls that need to be collected are remaining on the loose, because the Nobles of Hell are too busy planning for war to do the work of Hell. What this will cause in the streets, I am sure you can imagine.” Jonas nodded, “I have consulted every Augury and performed all manner of Divinations. I’m afraid only one thing will put this very messy business to rest, but no matter how it is done, we will be choosing a side.”
Are we cracking her worldview today? I didn’t bring my Illusion-smashing hammer.
Jonas turned to one side, and whispered, “The truth is the hammer, just tell her, let her decide for herself.”
Fine. But I think we’re ruining our chances to get her in the sack.
“Noted.” Jonas whispered, before looking back up to Autumn, “Forgive me, I will allow my other half to address you, as he knows the story first hand.” He made a face, “I apologize in advance.”
His expression changed slightly, his eyes darkened from their warm chocolate hue to the darkness of a sky without stars. His smile was warmer, more enticing, like he was about to whisper something naughty into her ear, and his voice, while Jonas’, had a new weight to it, a heavier tone, and an alluring undercurrent. The voice was one of power and age, of ageless confidence unbroken. ”Hi Sweetcheeks, My name is Samyaza, you may know others, but Sam will do fine. Now, what I’m about to tell you, I’ve known from the beginning, though I didn’t have a direct hand in it. I was too busy shepherding humanity and being taken for a sucker by Lilith. He frowned slightly, and turned to his side to whisper, Hey! You tell it your way, I get to tell it mine, Mister Wizard.
Jonas/Sam smiled and leaned forward conspiratorially, ”Anywho, Satan was purposely roused, and just as purposely, he can be bound again. We even know how to bind him, but there’s a trick to it, Sweetheart, and I doubt the man that wears the funny hat and the red shoes at the Vatican is gonna like it.”

Autumn frowned when Jonas turned to the side and seemed to engage in a one sides conversation with himself. Of course, then she remembered he shared his body with another. She could only imagine what it was like, how chaotic and brain defying annoying. She had enough trouble sharing her body with herself, never mind someone else. Then he said his other half would be addressing her and she leaned forward, perking up as if, the thought of conversing with the being inside him was almost too exiting to describe. Of course, she had never had the chance to meet someone who was possessed and in seemingly good control, and equal partnership so to speak. She had seen demons and angels alike posses human bodies and the bodies would turn frail and the mind would fracture.
His eyes darkened, midnight blue almost, dark pools and seemed to draw Autumn in even more, like looking into water during the night. She cocked her head to the side at the smile and could not help but smile back, then quickly composed herself.
“Hmmm,” She murmured at being called sweet cheeks, “You’ll find nothing sweet about me, Sam, refrain from the terms of endearment. Now, you say you know how to send Satan back into the abyss, then get to the point. I hate it when people drag on and on before finally getting to the explanation of the sentence, so please...explain...”
