Character Name: Vittorio Valentine "Kip"
Species:Nephilim
Age, Gender: Male, 27
Description: Hazel eyes, dark brown hair, pale skin, he's usually clean shaven but sometimes he sports a stubble shadow. He's about 6 feet, considering his mother his short, he got his height from his father. Lean muscle, subtle and not very obvious but he doesn't look like a weakling either.
Personality: A well-rounded guy that tries to do the right thing by everyone, including himself. He's meek, humble and kind, always eager to help another person out. but he's always felt like there's something wrong with him, like there was something not quite right about his mother's obsession with the occult, and his father's neglectful prescence, like they knew something that they didn't want him to know, or he didn't want to know so they didn't tell him. So that makes him suspicious and paranoid.
History:
His mother's a witch, and a professor of the occult at a local university, she has never told her son about his history, because she feels he isn't ready and his father hardly ever stuck around, so Vittorio doesn't know the guy very well.
He had a decent childhood, knows about about the paranormal/supernatural world, thanks to his mother's wierdness, but he doesn't like it. It makes him feel strange because of the looks his mother gives him, like she's waiting for him to sprout wings or something, but she doesn't want to tell him how.
Having hobbies like music, philosophy and languages, he had excellent grades in high school and went to an Ivy League school on scholarship, majoring in philosophy and German, which now, he's off to seminary school, to get a Masters of Divinity, and all the while he's trying to find himself.
Breaking free from his mother's world view and take flight so to speak.
Powers/Training/Experience/weaknesses
He has not grown into his powers just yet because he does not know what he is, but once he does, he'll grow wings and maybe inherit his mother's gift of premonition and clairvoyance/seeing visions along with other psychic abilities.
Family/Ties:
Mother-Myrah Valentine
RP Sample:
Kip lay in his bed annnoyed with over hearing his mother's coven talk paganism again, he put on his headphones to drown them out. He reached over and took out a philosophy book and flipped through some of the pages.
Kip liked philosophy, it made more sense to him; although he may be spiritual and aware that there is something more than what your senses dictate to you, he didn't want to be part of that world. It was all darkness there. And while the darkness had its pull, its hunger, he didn't want it to over take him and he become some whackjob like his mother.
"Kipling, darling, could you bring us the blade from my top nightstand drawer?" his mother called.
He didn't hear, so he didn't move. So moments later he heard a knock on the door, and it opened before he could answer. He rolled over and pushed one headphone ear off, "Ma?" he frowned, wondering what she wanted.
"I asked you to bring me the blade."
"Oh, I didn't hear you, sorry"
"Oh, don't get up, I'm up now, I'll get it."
He shrugged and went back to his philosophy book. Kip didn't know why she wanted him to touch her precious blade, he was a skeptic after all, didn't that taint the magic or something?
Now, what was Hegel saying? He thought to himself as he turned the page, rolling his shoulders, slightly as if he felt a faint itch, probably nothing.
