Description:
Once a tall gangly teen, Esme has grown into a fully blossomed young woman. Her round almond-brown eyes are extremely curious, she is always searching for new things to experience. She stands at about 5’9” and even though she had filled out and now has an hourglass figure, she is still fairly skinny. After a short time with blonde highlights in her naturally brown hair, Esme decided to return to brown. She is most likely to dye her hair though, if the mood strikes her.
Personality:
A typically bubbly person, Esme attempts her hardest to get conversations started and to keep them going, but there are times that her personality could annoy even the most cheerful of people. She had no sense of personal boundaries, so anything is fair game in Esme’s world. Politics, sexual orientation, species, anything is subject, she truly has no brain-to-mouth filter. There are times that Esme isn’t as talkative as she attempts to be, if there’s something truly disturbing or if she’s having a terrible day she’ll most likely keep quiet rather than talking a person’s ear off. She’s not exactly the bravest of people, but she will protect her friends if it comes down to it. She has a very leud sense of humor and she can take any statement and make it more sexual than anyone could think. Although she seems like the most confident person on the earth, she’s most likely to change her hair and eye colors the most to attempt to find someone she’s be comfortable being. She’s not exactly comfortable with herself, even if everyone around her may think she is.
History:
Born in Leeds, England to an old family, she grew up in the lap of luxury. Her family had had a story about a witch being born into the family every three generations, each one more powerful than the last and most obviously more powerful than the witches who gained their power through force or some odd moment that happened in their lives. But of course, Esme didn’t believe in the story. Until when she was 15 strange things started to happen to her. She ended up getting everything she had wanted, a great boyfriend, good grades, she was amazing at sports, her life couldn’t get any better. Not too long after her life started getting better, she began to notice things started acting odd around her. Animals began to gravitate towards her, she’d think about wanting a certain food or something and it would appear at her side, things like that. Then one day she was walking down the street when a witch had told her that she was truly blessed and asked Esme for help with a spell. After that moment, her life had become entirely different. Esme practiced magic almost any chance she got, anything to become better. She moved out of her home in Leeds when she turned 19 and moved to London to study magic. There are so many witches in England that she never had to find an actual teacher, just find a witch and learn. She’s been living in a small flat in London that her parents are paying for and attending classes at the University during the day. Her parents are under the impression that she’s studying to become a lawyer, they aren’t behind the idea of having a witch in the family so she hasn’t told them that she is one.
Powers/Training/Experience/weaknesses
Esme had learned fencing at school so she is fairly good at wielding a sword and she learned a bit of Tae Kwon Do when she was younger at a local dojo, not that she’s amazing at it but she knows it for self-defense. She’s still learning how to use her magic, she can do simple spells like summoning and such, but she’s not exactly that good at it. She’s never killed and she’s never fought in a battle, she’s really only used her magic for good. She knows that using magic for bad has great repercussions and doesn’t want to experience those. She’s learning from any and every witch in London, but she’s no where near being an amazing witch. Esme can see small parts of the future, nothing big, just things like who she’s going to meet in the next week or if someone she knows is going to die soon.
Family/Ties:
Esme has a mother and father back in Leeds, along with an older brother who’s in Habitat for Humanity International. Her paternal great-grandmother was a witch. She is currently not part of any group but she was taught by some of her teachers that she would have to choose sides at some point and she had already determined that she would rather fight for good than evil.

Esme took a deep breath. It had been so long since she had last spent more than a few moments at her flat. Her days were filled with monotonous classes on law and heart-racing magic lessons. She’d escaped home for a few moments every now and again to do homework, take out her dog, or get some sleep, but she missed being able to sit in front of the tube and watch a mindless reality show.
She turned on the television letting Big Brother drone on in the background, but her mind was still racing from what she had learned earlier today. There’s a battle going on between the Angels and Demons. These mystical beings she had thought never existed were walking on Earth right now and fighting for control. And beyond all of that, she would have to choose who she wanted to fight along with in a few years time. Truthfully, Esme didn’t think that she would ever be strong enough to help out in such an epic battle, but maybe Kaliope, that day’s mentor, knew something more about Esme’s future than even Esme could figure out.
Esme had finally started to fall asleep when her dog, Achilles, began to bark. Esme’s eyes opened laboriously, and she started to walk towards the door. She had been expecting this visitor for the past few days; it was actually the reason why she left her lessons early to go home. This visitor was supposed to ask her about becoming her roommate, but there would be something odd about her new roommate. Whoever this person was, their face was still blurry in Esme’s mind-eye, was a member of the same world as Esme. This world of Demons, Angels and witches, this person is a part of an unknown world.
