It was a quiet morning. The wind almost still, as if it were careful to not break another leaf from the trees over head. Early morning joggers seemed the only ones alive at this hour, doing their best to keep their hearts and bodies perfect. Trying everything they could to push away that hour of possible death.
What seemed a tall lithe blonde human female sat perfect on the edge of a long thick wall that bordered the gardens of the park. Hir feet were tucked near hir, arms wrapped about her legs. The angel's wild curly blonde mane tumbled to about hir shoulders like a cloak, as shi gazed upon the joggers with ever watchful eyes.
The angel wore a pair of jogging pants, and a tank top. Not hir usual attire, but it seemed more appropriate for the patrons of the garden. Shi was always careful not to look the stalker, although in a way that was what Adina was.
However, this morning shi did not bare a task, no mission. Just watch, listen, and take care of them. The fallen and other dark ones had been filtering into the city slowly, but surely. Shi was needed. Trying to make sure that Lucifer and others like him did not wreck havoc on the simple mortal's souls.

(Cont ... after Coming to terms)
Kip was so awake and so alive, more so than he'd ever been his entire life. Aside from that burning itch in his shoulders becoming more apparent, he was happy and content. Sure half of him was a dark angel fallen from grace, but he could still pass for human.
He went walking in the gardens, wearing baggy khakis and a polo shirt, hair brushed but for the most part it was just there on his head, not in any particular style. The early morning breeze played with it.
Seeing the watchful blonde sitting there, caused that blinding light to shine in his eyes, and he heard music. Loud and angelic, and then darkness and he was back to where he stood. It was almost like a vision of some sort, mixed with astral projection. LIke he knew what it was like to be there, in the prescence of that music.
Rubbing his head, he sat down on a bench next to hers and took out his notepad. He jotted down a few ideas he had mulling around in his head for his term paper for seminary school, he worked best when he had a new scene to be in.

There was a quiet moment. As if the mortal birds had become silent in their morning opera to the world. It caused one eyebrow to arch slowly, curiously. Even the mortal world of animals could feel changes in the astral plane, the differences of those among them that were not truly 'human'. Adina sat back, and let hir eyes travel about where shi sat. Hir bright blue eyes fell to a bench, where a mortal was now sitting. But, he was not just any mortal. There was a part of him shi could almost recognize, that the Throne knew.
Shi watched him work intently upon something on a notepad. His gaze almost serious, as fingers worked furiously with the pen, then stopped again. Only to write down a few more lines once more. Adina grinned, hir soft smile warming hir features, "Good Morning." Curiosity, shi want to know about this one...mortal?

Kip looked up from his writing and stared at the blonde as she spoke to him. He heard that music again. Smiling as if he was a completely normal human out in the gardens writing poety he nodded a greeting in return. "Morning" he replied. "Nice day, huh?" he tried to start the ball rolling for small talk. He was a dead end for the paper he was writing. Maybe she could inspire some thought in his head, or maybe he should just give up. Either way, he welcomed the break.

Horus walked along the path that wound through the park, occasionally stopping from time to time to adjust his jacket or straighten his cap, a conscious habit that he still continued to observe. Stopping near the the water feature, the grizzled war veteran spat out what remained of his now long burnt out cigar before pulling out a fresh cigar and lighter, biting off the end before lighting it, taking a deep drag of the exotic tobacco leaves. Putting his lighter back into his pocket, Horus continued down the garden path, slowly losing himself in his thought.
Horus stopped a few meters from the bench before adjusting his cap and jacket once more. Reaching down to his sides, he was reassured that his pistol and knife still remained in their position, a new habit he had gotten into since his first ambush after becomming a private security contractor. Taking one more long drag from his cigar, Horus tore off the end of his cigar before extinguishing it underfoot. Walking forth, Horus stopped before sitting down on the bench. Horus continued to think, wondering why all this madness had suddenly decided to show itself.

(( sorry has taken so long...I need to figure out hir focus here to inspire me ))
Nice day, shi thought. It was always a mortal's greeting, even if day was a bit dismal. Most of them seemed to feel the need to start a conversation that way, instead of just moving on to what they really wanted to know. Adina was very used to it, and thought it an interesting bit of humanity, even if shi had heard it countless times. The angel played the game. Adina was to be perceived as human, after all.
The blonde leaned forward a bit, chin lifted as if to get a better view of the scribble transcript that had barely begun on paper, "Yes, it would seem. I am curious though, what is it that you are writing?" Direct, yes. But, honest.

Kip noticed the man with the cigar but then heard her question. He looked down at his pad, mostly scribbles and notes, nothing coherant at all. "Homework." he replied. It was the truth. It was supposed to be homework, even if it hadn't made it there yet.
He rolled his shoulders again, if that itch didn't go away, he was going to scream. But he gave the woman a kind smile. "At least, its supposed to be homework, its mostly notes and scribbles" he gave a nervous laugh as he realized he voiced his thoughts.

"Oh, homework," Shi had never known what it was like to have paperwork one would have to turn in. Nor school. It was just something shi had observed other's do. Adina truly had no idea about the school thing. Shi knew of some that were religious, many centuries ago. Humans had changed, now they mostly wanted to know technology, which the Angel didn't really understand.
"What...must you write about? This homework?"
(( sorry so short...kind of not sure what to write there ))

Kip made a self-depreciating sound that was a mix of a laugh and a scoff. "God." he replied vaguely. "I have to write my paper about God, basically. Its harder than I thought. I went into it thinking it would be easy, but, I can't find the right words to put down it all sounds like garbage." he shrugged. "You believe in God, don't you?" he asked, thinking back to that vision that had started that gnawing pain between his eyes, the headache that was slowly going way ... slowly
((its all good))
