Character Name:
Adi Raina
Species:
Pixie
Age, Gender: 129, female
Description:
Adi is generally six inches tall, though in her human form she is 5'2" (still on the short side.) While most pixies have hair that blend into the scenery, hers is silver that melts into black tips. Her eyes, round and large, are a deep forest green with flecks of gold scattered about the iris. She has pale skin, nearly flawless safe for one scar on her right shoulder in the shape of a cattle brand. She dresses in many brown, green, and magenta hues of clothing, all skirts pants and shirts thrown together in layers so that she looks much like a wilting flower, despite her hair. Often times she will pin it up under a hat for camouflage.
Personality:
Adi is a very kind, curious individual. She enjoys helping the elderly, male and female alike, though teenage boys tend to scare her. She has a habit of hiding behind people's hair when frightened by birds or cats, regardless of what size she is. The pixie often forgets when she is in a more human-sized form, and will dive behind people anyway.
History:
Adi is what you might call a princess of pixies, though her responsibilities don't include much more than dragging herbs to the sick ones of her kind. She has a brother, and he took control two years ago, so she wandered off to see what good she could do for other races. They fascinate her, and always have, so she ventured into the city to act as a sort of helpful spirit to children, old couples or widows/widowers, and adults that she does not deem loud. Her past is vague, and broken up into sections of mischief making. She went through phases of misplacing people's salt, all the way up to switching out neighbor's horses a few times every year. She only decided to leave her home in the forest when a human became lost, and she saw other pixies misleading the poor thing. Adi took her larger form, hat on to hide her hair, and guided the traveller to safety. She was surprised at how greatful they were, and decided there was more to the world than pixies like herself. Shortly after venturing to her new home, she ran into something unexpected; A demon that tricked her into offering assistance. The pixie is cursed now, unable to directly touch anything more than fifty percent iron without gloves.
Powers/Training/Experience/weaknesses
She has a natural talent for calming other creatures, be they human, vampire, werewolf, or other. Her talent is not useful against angels, fallen or not, or demons unless they willingly let her influence their behaviour. As with anything, though, it does not last. Her effects wear off more quickly depending on the strength of a person's emotion, and how determined they are to feel it. Adi is unable to come in direct contact with iron, as it saps away her strength quickly enough to be fatal.
Family/Ties:
She has a brother, Rowan, her mother, Liana, is deceased, and her father is unknown. Adi has a twin sister, Ravina, but they do not get along very well.

The pixie giggled, eyes flashing brightly in the light. She could hear the old woman groaning as she waddled her way up the stairs, one creaky platform of wood after another. Wouldn't she be surprised! The tiny creature skipped out from the ashes of the fireplace, ruffling her clothing to get rid of soot. The woman had lost her husband a month or so ago, and was struggling rather badly.
After a quick stretch of her arms the pixie nodded, a determined expression on her face, and fanned her wings. Right. She was going to mop the floor, but she would have to be fast. Adi yawned, her body shifting, twisting into a form much better suited for the job. She knew it would be at least an hour before the woman returned from her bath. After a quick surveliance of the room, the much taller pixie padded softly to the cupboard, and pulled open the door. Her entire torso plunged inside the shadows, elbows knocking against wood and buckets before she backed out with a mop, cleaner, and a rolling bucket with a plastic grip on the iron handle.
She dragged the bucket over to the sink and waited patiently, searching for the sound of creaking floorboards overhead in case the woman was not yet asleep. Once assured she would not be caught, Adi turned on the hot water, and waited for the steam so she could begin preparing her cleaning materials.
