Name: Judas
Species: Soul Collector/ Council
Age, Gender: Eternal, Male
Description: Judas is a troubled man and it shows in his sad eyes. He has short, dark brown hair and a light brushing of facial hair along his jaw and upper lip. His eyes are a pale green and his skin holds a natural tan. He has a very masculine bone structure and an athletic build. He rarely, if ever, smiles and he always looks like he’s upset about something although most of the time the grimace is caused by the pain of his burning soul. He walks like he’s expecting a fight and is the only one of the council with horrible posture. You’ll most often find him in jeans, t-shirt and a jacket of some sort. No, he doesn’t wear that creepy black gown that most people think of when they think of a grim reaper. He also carries a flask with him in his jacket pocket. Shadows follow him, cloaking him in darkness.
Personality: He acts like the stereotypical bad boy. He’s cold and distant with a dry sense of humor. He drinks heavily and smokes. Judas is extremely impatient and isn’t one for long, in depth conversations. Where the other council members are profound and wise, he’s just an ass with some useful experiences up his sleeve. He blends in the best with modern day society, and therefore doesn’t really have much luck relating to the other members of the council. He’s bitter and brutally truthful. He also avoids talking about his past before the council like the plague. Most of his bad attitude is caused by the pain he’s constantly in. Although he’s generally a pain, he is always there when you need him. He won’t abandon a friend in need and is reliable to a fault.
Character History: He was the man who betrayed Jesus and his soul was sent to hell for his sin. He spent years burning in agony and guilt before Lucifer approached him with a proposition. Lucifer offered him the chance to walk on the earth again. All he had to do was collect the souls of those humans who had sold their soul to demons. He agreed and became a grim reaper, anything to get out of hell. He had a brief meeting with the demon king, refused to put himself in service to her and was on his way.
It wasn’t long before he learned that being out of hell didn’t mean he was free from suffering, a fact Lucifer had conveniently forgotten to mention. He picked up drinking, hoping to ease the pain and when that didn’t help he tried smoking. Nothing eased the pain even a tiny bit, though he kept the habits more for something to do.
He was sent to collect the soul of a young woman in England. It was then that he ran into Jonas. The warlock presented him with a new way of living, one that didn’t involve only betrayal and death. The idea that someone sharing their body with a demon could fight on the side of good appealed to him, because if a full blown demon could do it, then why couldn’t he?
He took a room living with Jonas, though he couldn’t escape his duties as a soul collector. He continued to collect the souls of the damned and ferry them to hell, always returning to earth as soon as the job was done. He was the first of the council to join forces with Jonas and considers himself to be the closest to the warlock because they are both demons of a sort.
Once the council was officially formed, it was the natural thing to do for Judas to join it. Burning in hell had made him see how badly he’d sinned and fighting for the humans seemed like the only way to make up for it. The Vatican wasn’t happy about his joining but they came to an agreement. The Vatican would keep quiet about him betraying Jesus and he wouldn’t tell everyone about the church’s corrupt years, or how many priests had sold their soul to a demon. The Vatican also saw the benefit of having someone who had been in hell on their side and Judas suspects this had more effect on their keeping quiet than the deal they’d made.
He has worked with the council ever since, intent on starting new or as new as he could. He moves and travels with the council, which means he is currently in London.
Powers/Training/Experience: Judas can remain unseen and can move between hell and earth with ease. Teleportation. He prefers to physically remove the person’s soul and kill them instantly rather than killing them himself. He cannot be killed.
Weaknesses: He feels the pain of his burning soul eternally. He is bound by his duty as a soul collector and cannot refuse the call to bring a demon marked soul to hell.

He walked down the garden path that led to the house’s front door. Behind that door was a seemingly harmless old woman and her damned soul. The part of him that still had morals rebelled against the idea of taking this woman’s soul to eternal suffering and the rest of him rebelled against the fact that he couldn’t resist. His feet would move forward towards the demon marked soul whether he wanted to or not, so he might has well go on his own free will and save what dignity he could.
The woman saw him and screamed. He hated his job. It always made him laugh to hear humans complain about their jobs, they had no idea. Judas took out his flask and took a deep swig of its contents. Liquid courage, if only it worked.
“Please sir, please don’t. I was young and stupid, I didn’t know what I was doing. I’ve lived a good life since then, I’m a good person. Please!” The woman sobbed and brought a cross out from beneath her clothing, laying a kiss on the metal. Too bad the old man upstairs couldn’t help her out. He stayed silent and the woman seemed to pick up on it. “There’s no hope then?” Judas shook his head once from side to side.
The woman seemed to physically bring herself together and nodded with a wistful smile. “You get what you ask for.” She took a deep breath. “Let’s go then.” He reached out a hand towards her and the woman’s body fell to the floor. He grabbed hold of the soul and blinked himself out of the house.
Now he got to go to hell, drop the soul off and most likely have a run in with Lucifer and Ruina. Fucking peachy. What had the woman said, you get what you ask for? Yeah, that sounded about right.
