Lucifer was spending more time than usual on earth. hell had got a little too crowded as of late. Satan took too much space and Lucifer needed time away to plan what to do. His planning had not accomplished much. But his forces were gathering. There would be war. Dressed top to tail in a black suit, with a crisp white shirt, buttoned up high and a burgundy silk tie, he sat by the window, sipping a rather expensive glass of wine from an even more expensive bottle watching the humans walk past, idle and unaware of the war they were about to witness. Lucifer pushed back a strand of loose hair behind his ears and cast his bright hues through the bar, seeing who caught his fancy. It was a little after seven in the evening and the Christmas lights from the decorated street outside cast a red hue through the window.

Esme had been walking the streets of London, buying Christmas presents every here and there. She had bought things for all of her human friends and family and was beginning to wonder if it would be acceptable to buy presents for Vlad, Judas and Morgan. Really, what type of presents do you buy a vampire, soul collector and witch who had seen more Christmases than one could even imagine. Esme really didn't think it would be acceptable to even mention Christmas around them, she knew how old Vlad was, but as for Judas and Morgan: maybe they can remember a time before Christ, before Saint Nicholas, before the hoopla that goes on nowadays.
Esme was tired, and found her feet leading her back to a place she had been before. The Wine Bar held slightly scarring memories for her, but there was still good wine there. She opened the door and stood in the doorway scanning the bar, there were so many people and no place to sit. She started to wonder if she should just turn back and go get a drink elsewhere. But how she really did want to give this place a second chance.

Lucifer arched his brow and cocked his head as he watched a petite young woman walk past the window then into the wine bar. He felt a surge of power from her, and tasted her aura and found a hint of magic, nothing compared to his, but magic non the less. A witch possibly, yes, she was. His crystalline eyes remained fixed on her, passive, but warm, a human gaze that he had practiced for thousands of years. With a single ounce of his power he send a ripple out to her, a subtle hint, a notion, to turn and look toward him.

Esme was just about to head out, when she felt something ripple towards her. It was faint but it was powerful at the same time. Esme smirked to herself as she turned towards the direction that the ripple had come from. What was it about this place that caused the supernatural to congregate here?
She looked around and then her eyes locked on someone who was staring at her, she could practically see the power radiating off of him. The man looked different from most people, but he was still attractive in his own way. Esme swallowed and decided to take a page out of Roxy's book.
She sauntered up to the man's table and asked, "do you mind if I join you?" and just like Roxy had, she didn't wait for his answer but slid into the seat next to him.

Lucifer leaned back in his chair and nodded as he allowed the woman to slide down into her chair, his eyes strongly fixed on her, and ever now and again in the right light, they flicked into the black orbs he was so known for.
“Not at all.....” He smiled, “My name is Adam....” He used his alias, of Adam Morningstar, lead singer in the rock band and fashion model. On occasion, some beings caught on to who he really was, that did not bother him if they did.
“Christmas shopping?”

Esme smiled and grabbed at a menu, she looked at it briefly, not really paying attention to the man across from her. "The name's Esme," she said distractedly as she introduced herself. She determined what she wanted to drink and looked back up at Adam.
Esme tipped her head to the side inquisitively, resembling a puppy dog when they see a bug for the first time, "I feel like I've seen you somewhere before. Hmm, oh well," She shook her head, as if dispelling the thought altogether.
"Yeah, I was actually," Esme said as she kicked at one of the bags, "presents for my family. I was actually trying to figure if it were acceptable to get presents for my teacher, or if that was a little Primary-school-ish. And I've realized, it's pretty hard trying to figure out what to purchase my male friends for Christmas as well." Esme giggled, "How about yourself? Have you begun shopping for the Yuletide?"
