He didn't know how he could be both happy and disappointed by her answer at the same time. How could you feel one way and completely the opposite all at once? He didn't know, but apparently it was possible. He wanted to hate this girl, to push her away, and he just plain wanted her. The whirlwind of emotions was baffling. He was on an emotional tilt-a-whirl with no one at the controls.
It wasn't that late, but it wasn't that early either. Wasn't there some saying about early to bed? Well, if there was then Esme obviously hadn't heard it. "And what is an exceptable bedtime then?" He asked, more for conversation than actual curiosity since it seemed the girl was determined to stay with him.
"Alright, then you decide what we do." That question had a purpose. The thought of being alone at night with a good looking girl, he wouldn't admit to himself that the idea of being alone with this specific girl added to the feeling, sent his mind straight into the gutters. Even if the knowledge that he was damned hadn't chased her off, there was no knowing what she'd do if she thought he was a pervert. The part of him that wanted to crawl back into his solitude almost wished he had made a comment and sent the girl running.
The rest of him didn't care what they did, he was content to just walk in the gardens for the rest of the night, if it meant he got to keep his arm around her for a little while longer. It wouldn't last, he knew that, but did that mean he couldn't enjoy it while it did? He didn't know, the answer was probably that he shouldn't, all the more reason not to think that one out to far.

An acceptable bedtime? Esme began to wonder that as well, she knew that too late in the night wasn't the right time to be stumbling into bed, but she also knew that giving him too early of a time would give him a reason to send her straight to bed. Telling him something too early may cause him to treat her like a child, enforcing her bedtime, she could see him jokingly telling a bedtime story just to rub it in more. "Noon?" she stated, a question in her tone. She wondered if he would accept that answer.
She had just started to think that perhaps Judas wanted to get rid of her in anyway possible when he seemed to give her a choice of what to do next. Her mind, for some reason or another, went straight to reinacting the kiss from earlier, but she knew that if she did that she may not be able to keep her hands off of Judas much more than that. Another kiss would lead to so much more, something that Judas may not want to do with someone who's almost 2000 years younger than him.
She remembered that he had wanted to go back to her apartment earlier, but that would surely lead to something else... that was if they were to find any place to land after the door was opened. They could definately stay in the park, but it got so much colder at night with the change of the seasons. And then there was dinner, she hadn't eaten in quite a while, but it seemed that Judas had tired of crowds long ago.
"I would say that we could go back to my apartment, but there are two things that go along with that option. The first being the disgusting state my place is in, you'd think I lived in a pig sty. The second being that I have no idea of what I'd be liable to do if I were to be alone there with you. But I'd say we could stay here, if it weren't for the fact that it got so dreadfully cold at night. We could always go to a restaurant and get something to eat, there are always places open late, but I fear you may be tired of crowds tonight. But those are the options, you make the final decision," Esme hoped that by giving him options, he'd choose one that fit him best, she'd given what she felt could happen... it was all up to him at this point.

"Noon? As in tomorrow?" He asked with one eyebrow raised. "Though I suppose you are a college student, aren't you all supposed to be used to late nights with all the partying you do?" It was a joke, but there was no hint of humor in his voice. There usually wasn't, he just didn't bother. What did it matter if anyone else knew whether he was joking or not? He ended up offending some people that way, but he figured that was more their problem than his when all was said and done. If you took yourself to seriously...that whole thing.
Judas nodded, she'd explained that her apartment was messy the first time it had been brought up. He didn't care, she would probably get lost in all the stuff that was piled in his room at the manor. The other rooms, with the exception of Jonas' study every now and then, were spotless thanks to the other, more proper members of the council.
He was about to comment that old didn't always mean well-mannered when she finished telling him the second problem with going to her apartment. If you could call it a problem. He didn't know if he was successful in keeping the shock from his face. However he did know that he failed in keeping the heated look from his eyes. She was worried about what she'd do alone with him? Was that because she didn't want to do something she'd regret later? That was a possibility. After all, they'd only met that night and most of the time they'd spent together he'd been either angry or drinking. He wasn't exactly what you'd call the ideal date and he knew that.
Judas didn't mind the cold, but he wasn't about to let the girl get sick or at the very least spend the night shivering. And truth be told, he was tired of crowds. He might be able to hide the pain from Esme, but in a crowd, someone would notice if he grimaced. The walking was keeping his mind occupied enough to where the agony was somewhat manageable, if worse came to worse he could pace around her house. He tried convince himself that was the reason for his decision and not the heated thoughts that popped up when he thought of being alone in the girl's apartment. He failed.
"Let's go to the apartment." He finally said, keeping his voice as free of emotion as he could.

Esme giggled, she was hoping that that question meant that he was understanding the joke, even a little. "Yes, as in tomorrow," she clarified. "Yes, because I'm such a big partier. All of the law school and this stuff," Esme motioned with her arms, really trying to mention the supernatural, "leaves me with so much time to party like it's 1999... excuse the song reference."
While Esme was explaining her second reason as to not going back to her apartment, she could see a glint in Judas's eyes. It was as if he was thinking along the same lines as herself. There was a moment that she had thought she saw a look of shock, but as soon as she thought she saw it she realized that perhaps she had imagined it from the beginning. She shook off the thought and continued.
She waited for Judas's choice, she hoped that no matter what they decided she would still end up being by Judas's side, and that was all that really mattered.
"My apartment it is then," Esme said as she led Judas in the direction of her apartment. There were definately perks with her apartment, one of her friends had left a pack of cigarettes after a study session, if that's what Judas wanted, and she just stocked up on some pretty good wine. Besides a nice fireplace and some good music and. No more of that, time to focus on something other than that.

He chuckled and shook his head over her obvious joke. It made sense that a law student who was also a witch wouldn't have much time for anything else. He had to admit that he liked the fact that she wasn't a typical college student, though that had been obvious from the start of this strange meeting.
"Lead the way." He said, following her as she began to walk towards the direction of, presumably, her apartment.
