Esme was getting a little more wary of Mya every moment that the woman spoke to her. Esme could remember the last time she was near being attacked by a vampire, how Soren had become distracted by her blood. Mya wasn't like that, it seemed that there was an underlying message in every word she said, but she wasn't as straightforward as Soren had been when it came to wanting her blood.
"I'd assume that you, like most of your kind, could get drunk off of a different substance, not alcohol," Esme ventured to test the waters. Perhaps all of the hinting was because Mya wanted her to figure it out. Perhaps.
"I'm afraid that I may not be able to help you satiate that thirst any time soon, though."
Esme actually began to question if she should leave the woman, it would be so easy to stand up from her seat and wind her way around the crowds of people to get to her friends. It would be so easy to tell one of them that she was feeling sick and asking if they would escort her home. It would be all too easy to make a beeline home through the most populated parts of town. It would be all too easy to leave the vampiress sitting at the bar without Esme's blood to lust after. But why hadn't she done that? Why wasn't her body moving? Was it because Esme could sense that the woman didn't want her blood. Or was it that the woman, one of the most ultimate predators, already had her claws on Esme? Was she already marked by this woman as the next meal? Esme couldn't figure it out.

Mya's eyes looked through the crowd of dances as she spotted a lone young man trying to stay on beat. His foot movement was off which just proved that he had two left feet. He surely wasn't her type of man.
The vampiress rolled her eyes back to the witch as she could taste her sour emotion. Am I too much for you? The witch was being silly, trying to figure out what Mya wanted. Her guesses were what anyone would guess what a vampire wanted.
"I could if I wanted to," she said with a shrug. " I could get drunk off of many things. Yes blood maybe one of them, but not the only kind Esme. By the way, who said I wanted anything?"
Mya smiled showing her pearly white teeth with the hint of fangs poking out onto her bottom lip. She looked Esme dead in her eyes and giggled. Such a women with life and she was wasting it. Mya wanted something more from her, something that anyone would have a hard time comprehending what a vampire would want. Yes her blood would be sweet in her mouth, but there was something more. Only if she would look outside of the box, maybe she would understand. Right now all she thought was that Mya wanted her blood.

Esme sighed, this woman confused her so much. If it wasn't her blood she was after, and she didn't want to get out on the dance floor, what was it that she wanted from Esme? She truly was an interesting person. Goodness, Esme thought I truly am a sorry excuse for a lawyer's child if I can't figure this out.
Mya's smile was slightly off-putting. This was the first time that she had ever noticed the fangs. She had never stopped to look at Soren's teeth and Vlad's retractable teeth made him seem almost human. But this woman was so blunt, so terrifying, so truly a vampiress that Esme could not seem to control the fear that wanted to seep through her veins.
But she wanted something else, Mya wanted something other than her blood, it was obvious. But what was that something? "Can I help you with anything? I'm fairly good at lending an ear," Esme offered, maybe Mya would be blunt about it.

Mya knew that Esme couldn't figure her out so why was she trying so hard? Maybe she just hated not know what was going on, like most humans. Maybe the fangs confused her, Mya was good at hiding them, but right now it was more of a freak out factor.
Honestly, the vampiress didn't want to feed from this girl. She has too much life and despite the way she was acting towards her, the witch was handling it very well. At least for now, she might have to feed from her sooner or later, but Mya didn't want that.
"Can't a vampire be friendly? I may not have a heart, but I can hold a conversation."

Esme took another sip of her Cosmo, it was running low and she was slightly hoping some other guy would buy her a drink, she had been so rudely yanked from her clothing that she forgot to take her credit card and cash out of her jeans pocket. "I suppose a vampire could be friendly, I've certainly met a few who know how to hold a conversation. What would you like to talk about?" Esme M. Lolland asked as she looked about, attempting to catch the eye of someone new to satiate her thirst. It seemed that Mya had hopes of satiating hers so why couldn't Esme as well? It was when that thought crossed her mind that another one did as well, Does alcohol make blood taste better or worst to a vampire? Any human would enjoy the alcohol in the blood, but perhaps the alcohol running through the veins tainted the blood so badly that no vampire could ever drink the blood that ran with that alcohol.

Such a sweet and tender female that was so confused on the vampiress motives. The game was fun was Mya weaved her web of confusing around the witch. How mysterious the human mind was as she watched Emse think. The witch thought she had her figured out, but truly no one did. Mya wasn't the type of person who let people get close. Sometimes leaving them with confusion was best. With all her centuries of trying to start a new life wasn't worth being close to anyone.
There was something different about the witch though. Any vampire would love to sink their fangs into her, hell even Mya did though females weren't her choice of victims. Even if she did, Esme blood was already tainted with alcohol. Not a good mix, though some enjoyed the very bitter taste. It was almost like a very bad beer. Still, there was something about her, that made Mya at least tempt to open up.
The vampiress snapped out of her daze as she watched the lively bodies around her. She blinked and turned towards Emse. " Do you know what it feels like to be motionless, still walking around, trying to enjoy life? Like right now your at a stand still, just sitting here while your friends are moving, floating on air," Mya asked. She made it somewhat confusing so that the witch could think. Hey, she didn't say it would be easy.

Esme thought about Mya's question, what exactly was she trying to get at? 'Motionless but still moving, trying to enjoy life?' Esme thought at first trying to figure out what Mya meant by her question and then again trying to figure how she was to answer.
"I'm not quite sure what you're asking," she realized, "Are you asking if I've ever felt like I was merely going through the actions of life, trying to get people to believe that I'm enjoying myself when I actually do not understand how to enjoy myself?" she raised one eyebrow inquisitively as she asked her final question.
Esme drained the last of her Cosmo when another ended up being placed in front of her again, she was told that it was from a man from a different corner, she smiled towards him and winked. He was actually a fairly attractive person, never someone she would talk to under normal circumstances, but this particular day she would make an exception. Mya was confusing her too much.

It didn't surprise her when the witch got it. I Know your a smart girl... Most people would have gotten pissed off or just ignore her completely. Esme answered showed that she could think outside of the box. Mya was one of those people who did, and did it well. At least it game her a small ensight on how the female thought.
The vampiress turned around and took a sip of her drink before answering Esme. She looked over the strangers at the bar. Mya eyes looked up the the bartender and gave him another wink. He was just a mere toy to her, perhaps sex and dinner. He gave her a look as he handed the witch another drink.
After acting like she was thinking, Mya answered. " Actually you understood what I was saying. Congradulations," she said with a smirk before taking another quick sip of her almost gone drink. Maybe she needed another one even though it did nothing for the vampiress.

Esme was confused, how was it that she had answered Mya's question with a question? Either this vampiress was extremely crazy or too smart for even Esme to figure out. She rubbed the bridge of her nose, it was extremely hard work attempting to figure out what this woman was trying to tell her.
"Do you want another drink?" Esme asked, turning towards another man and catching his eye. She winked and lifted her glass towards him, "I warn you now, don't try soliciting yourself like this for beverages. I've never done this before, but it's so easy and I've gotten a rush from flirting with strangers," Esme giggled. The man pointed to himself and she nodded her head, she lifted her glass to him and pointed at Mya. He turned to the bartender and pointed to them, obviously ordering them drinks. Esme smiled at him and mouthed the words 'thank you'. Turning back to Mya she advised, "You ought to thank the man as well, he may meet your liking... most definately not my own, but who knows."
Esme laughed a little, "I don't know why, but I feel as if you're a friend that I may have known for a while, or at least someone who I could spend time joking with.... no matter how confusing you may be."

Mya stayed silent as she watched Esme work her magick with the stranger. Her eyes scanned over the fellow as a huge grin appeared across his face as he ordered them drinks. It seemed like the witch was a charmer or maybe it was the drinks that were taking an effect on her. Who knew.
The vampiress lifted her glass as the bartender placed it down in front of her. She smirked and bit her lip at the guy then slightly giggled. It never hurt to flirt a bit, even though he was nothing that she was interested in.
"Maybe," whispered back to the witch as her brown eyes scanned over the males at the bar then turned to meet the other woman's eyes. " He is generous, but it takes more than that to meet me interests. Though maybe your perfect for him."
A bit of sarcasm came from her voice. She knew that he wasn't for the women, but she couldn't help but joke around with it. Mya's eyes softened as the witch mentioned friend. Friend? All of her friends were long gone, though she shook that thought off.
"Maybe you have...in a past life. You never know." The vampiress finished her other drink then swiftly switched to the next one.
