Esme watched as Mya giggled when the bartender placed a drink in front of her. Esme nodded towards him and informed her, "He's a cutie, but be careful. He's a registered sex offender, just got out of jail." before Mya could even ask, Esme elaborated, "My parents were on his trial for a while, it was a pretty big deal... after years in jail though, he's a lot different."
Esme quickly honed in on her comment about reincarnation. She had never really though about reincarnation as actually existing, but in a way it would make so much about life make more sense. Besides, heaven must be really crowded with all of those souls that spend time there.
"I wasn't aware that vampires, or anyone who's lived enough to study life patterns, would actually believe in reincarnation. I thought it was just something humans made up to make us feel better about dying. Heaven and reincarnation, two safety nets for humanity."

Mya gave the witch a blank look.Sex offender, quit sad. Mya wanted to ask what actually happened, but then again it was best that she didn't. Tonight wasn't a focus on the fellow and the vampiress didn't want to be in a bad mood because of what she found out. She shook that thought off as raised an eyebrow at Esme. "Hope he is..." She did believe that people could change and maybe he really did.
The band started to play a family song that Mya remember way back when. Such happy memories of seducing her male dancers. It almost put a smile on her face, but what the witch said caught her off guard. For someone to be a witch, most would believe in reincarnation and even though Mya was a vampire, she was also Pagan.
" Though I have lived for a long time, in a way it is like reincarnation. I go from decade to decade to reinvent myself to fit each period. Though I still am in the same body, I move through time like I have reincarnated. I believe that if I wasn't a vampire then I would. You as a witch should at least believe in something," Mya said as she expressed her feelings.

Esme thought about it, what she had said was kind of odd for a witch to say, especially one that sometimes claimed she was Wiccan. In a way she had just denied all beliefs, she didn't quite know why she had said it. "Well, I guess I do believe in something like that, I just never really pay attention to what I think would happen after life. I guess at this point in my life, being young and foolish, I feel like everything that I've been taught about life after death was just something made by humans to make us feel better about death. But seeing it the way you do, it makes sense that you'd think that there's such a thing as reincarnation."
Esme took a drink and then looked back at Mya, Esme started quietly singing along with the song that was playing. She had always had an odd sense of time and fashion, always stuck in some decade that was not the one that she was truly in. She remembered this song from the time that she was stuck in the early 1900s, dressing that way, only listening and reading books from that time, everything. Esme had been an odd child, but it was her oddities that made her who she was today.

"Maybe the witch needs to get back in her beliefs," Mya added as she listened to Esme story. Everyone seems to get caught up with life that they never pay attention to anything else. Mya wasn't saying that religion was important, but for a witch with that gave off a powerful essense should. Being around for awhile, the vampiress has messed with magick a bit, but wasn't going to tell the witch. Mya wasn't here to tell the female what to do.
Mya left it at that, hoping that would at least make the woman think about past life. Baring her thoughts, the vampiress smiled as she listened to Esme. The witch had soul in her and the voice coming out of her mouth said it all.
Remembering the words, the vampire decided to join in on the singing. The bartendered smiled as he listened to them.

The song ended just as quickly as it had begun. Esme couldn't help but giggle when the bartender began to applaud them. "You have an amazing voice, Mya. I could definately see you making it big in today's music scene... only problem would be your age," Esme laughed as she thought of what humans would do if Mya were actually famous and never aged. She'd probably have to fake her own death early on.
Esme was quiet, she had no idea what to say to this woman. Esme couldn't figure why she felt comfortable around her but uncomfortable at the same time. She could speak about any one subject as long as possible, but once it was dried up she had no idea what to say, no idea whatsoever.
"Um, how long have you been... you know, in your condition?" Esme asked, trying to conceal the true meaning behind her words so any humans wouldn't hear what they were talking about.

Seemed like they had a few people enjoy their voice, especially the bartender. She winked at him and let out a very soft purr. She glad that everyone enjoyed and Esme seemed a bit surprised. What, didn't think a vampire could sing? "Thank you. The music scene this age is rubbish and I don't go for that whole pop deal. Though I probably would have to wear make up and what not to make it look like I can age," she giggled. That was a very funny thought. Either she pretended to get old or let the whole world know who she was. That was very unlikely.
"Dancing is my passion, not music. It is something I picked up over time. Though music is something you should get into. You have a strong and heavenly voice," she said as she took a sip of her drink. Funny that she said heavenly, even though vampiress are usually damned to Earth.
Mya tilted her head and smirked at the witch said condition. Seemed like she just couldn't get herself to say what she really meant. Since there were others around, the vampiress let that one slide this time. "122 years," she said flatly.

Esme took a sip from her drink and thought. 122 years of being the same, preying on humans to stay alive, fighting a monster inside of you, or else deciding to feed that monster. It must have been hard, Esme had seemed to find people every now and again who impressed her, more so recently than before, but Mya was definately one of those who impressed her. Esme couldn't imagine having to deal with something like that for years on end.
"Have you ever wished that it hadn't happened? Ever wished that you were human? Ever imagined living a life so unlike the one you lead now?"

Things around them slightly became silent as the jazz band took a break. Most of them had water at hand, while two decided to head over to the bar. One of the men tilted his hat in their direction and Mya gave him a weak smile in return, but her eyes read something else.
Esme slightly hit a nerve when asking about her true age and being. No one has ever asked, even if they knew what she was. No one brave enough wanted to go into depth about if she missed being human or her past. The witch was brave alright. The vampiress would have changed the subject and let it as that. It all brought back memories she would rather forget and yet she still wanted to answer Esme.
"I have wished and wondered why me. Why would something like this happen to someone who honestly didn't deserve it? It makes no sense to wish I was human now. Back then I did, but now that is long gone and I will never be human. This is my life now and the only way I know," Mya said coldly then took a sip of her drink. Her brown eyes looked almost black as she looked at the witch then smiled. "Anyways."

Esme nodded at the man who tipped his hat at the women. Esme noticed a glint in Mya's eyes and she cocked her head inquisitively, but said nothing. She was interested in what was going on in her mind, but sometimes those things were off limits.
Instead Esme paid attention how Mya reacted to her question. It made her self-conscience in a way. She seemed to want to avoid the question and Esme was about to give her the option to ignore it, but Mya answered anyways.
Esme nodded. She wasn't going to act as if she understood how she felt, but there was something that she conveyed, whether it was through speech or body language, Esme could feel how she felt. "Yeah," Esme said as she took a sip of her drink. She looked around, she was currently at a loss for words, something new for a Lolland. Not knowing what to say she looked towards the dancers.

The akwardness from Esme lingered around the vampiress. Maybe that was a bit too much for the witch to handle, but she asked and Mya answered. Either she would ask more questions or wither away from the vampiress's past. Maybe Mya just caught her off guard, though she doubt it. A person like Esme should beable to handle anything. At least that is what she thought.
Breaking the silence, Mya took anothing sip of her drink and followed Esme's eyes to the dance floor. "Are you in the mood to dance now?," she smiled widely. "I'm sure a few fellows would love to see two attractive female dance, so lets give them a show."
The band headed back to the stage and started to set up again. The people standing aroung made their way back to the floor as the music started.
