Esme could not figure out why Girl's Nights Out with her friends from the University always led her to a table in a club in some odd costume or another. She sat, sulking, in a corner. She couldn't quite figure out why her friends liked to drag her to places like these or why she always ended up in a corner with some fruity drink in her hand attempting to fight back drunken pick up lines.
The night's band was a swing band of some sort, there were the obvious swing amateurs and people who seemed like they came to clubs like this one just to practice their swing dancing. Of course, Esme's friends were right in the middle of the dancing, doing some spazzy move or another.
Esme sighed, "I hate coming to places like these," she mumbled to herself as she received yet another cosmopolitan from a not-so-attractive man at the bar. He lifted his drink to her, and she nodded, twinkled her fingers and courteously took a sip from his drink. She quietly prayed, "Please don't let him come over here. Please don't let him come over here."

Jazz. It was like music to her ears. The sweet trumpets and up beat tempo echo in her ears. For a second, Mya closed her eyes and imagined when she danced and seductively moved through the 20s. She captured men's heart on the dance floor as they all crowded around her to by the vampiress a drink. Ah, it was a good era alright.
She opened her brown eyes and followed the direction of the music. Her black boots moved silently on the streets of London as swayed playfully to the beat. She hasn't felt this alive in awhile, almost human again.
The music led her to a club. With a smile, she pushed the door open and walked in. She was hit by the blazing sound of jazz and the talking of people. The vampiress moved through the crowd and appeared sitting at a corner table. She crossed her legs as she scanned the crowd of humans then looked at the dancing people. Flips, turns, pick- ups, all those steps she remembers. Some people were actually good, others weren't so fortunately, but they were there for a good time. The women knew if she would get up and dance, she could show them how its done.
Mya seemed almost mesmerized by watching the humans giggle and play. She scanned the crowd once more while the music started to chance. Her eyes stopped on a young women who seemed a bit uneasy. Almost like she didn't want to be there while she drank at the bar.
Maybe she needed some excitement. A smile crawled on her lips as she got up and quickly appeared sitting next to the women. Mya looked at the bartended who was confused, wondering how she got there.
"Scotch, my good man," she said to the puzzled man then winked.
While he turned his back, she looked over at the women next to her. "That guy is a scumbag, don't pay attention time him," she whispered as she noticed a guy eying her.

Esme practically jumped out of her seat because of the extreme power that moved to her side, and the voice that had accompanied it. Esme had only been extremely aware of the world of the supernatural for a few years, but in all of that the time, the vampires she had met were always male. She expected this one to be male as well, she totally forgot that vampires could be female as well.
Esme turned her head towards the woman, slightly frightened that she had snuck up on her he way she had. "Most men who come to places like this and sit at the bar are scumbags."
Esme turned around entirely. She crossed her leg and took another sip from the Cosmo that was placed in front of her, "I'm Esme." She offered the woman her hand for a handshake.

The bartender turned around and placed her drink on the table. He gave her an uneasy look as she walked off to the next customer. Mya just smiled as she a slight giggle came from her throat. A good game of human and vampire would fix time, but that was later. She would give the gentleman a run around of his life.
Her eyes turned back to the female as she said the word scumbag. " Or some just want to stalk a pretty women like you," she said in a slightly innocent tone.
The vampiress took a sip of her drink as she gather the scent of the women. Human ran around her, but something was different. She didn't "taste" human, though not otherworldly.
"Nice to meet you Emse. I'm Mya, my dear," The women looked at her hand and shook it. Esme's hand against her cool flesh almost made her remember how humans felt. Only think she knew was their blood running though her veins.

"Perhaps you're right," Esme smiled. This woman was flattering her and truthfully Esme was uncomfortable with that. Women never complimented someone's looks and meant it unless they were truly moved by their beauty or wanted something, otherwise they kept quiet. Maybe this woman wanted something from Esme, her blood perhaps?
Esme didn't quite remember either Soren or Vlad's skin being as cold as Mya's, but then again, she couldn't quite remember touching either one of them and knowing exactly what they were at the same time.
"So, what brings you to a place like this?" Esme asked, attempting to create some sort of small talk.

Emse's touch read witch. Hmm, interesting. It seemed like the little witch didn't like her comment. If Mya would have asked her about it, the answer would be a lie. Maybe this poor women would get use to her comments or maybe it would push her way. Either way,the vampiress had to toy with her. A little mind game never hurt, or did it?
Mya took a sip of her drink then circled her fingers around the straw. " The music of course. Such up lifting beats and movements of people trying to preform swing. What about yourself? You seem a bit unhappy."
She looked at the female with a calm expression. Her eyes were burning through the witch as she tried to figure out why she came to a place that made her unhappy.

Esme took another sip of her drink as her eyes drifted towards the crowd. She noticed her friends in the middle of the crowd, the three female and four male law school students moving about on the dance floor. She waved at them and smiled, one of the few genuine smiles she had that night while she laughed at her friends doing something ridiculous on the dance floor.
"I came with my friends. They all just seem to know how to open up on a dance floor, something I don't deal with as easily," Esme said, still watching her friends. How she envied how open and free they could get. They truly were amazing people.
Esme looked back to Mya, this time she started to pay attention to what she looked like. She was an astoundingly beautiful woman, it wasn't a sex-appeal sort of beauty and it wasn't a "stop a man dead in his tracks" sort of beauty. It was something entirely different.

Mya turned her head as she watched Emse wave at her friends. The crowd of dancers seemed to expanded since she entered the club. Humans laughing and bodies were flying. Such life they all had. The new music seemed to highten the excitement.
Her eyes looked back at the witch as she gave a soft smile. "I'm sure you could if you tried. Or maybe you needed something to situlate you. Drinking does help to loosen you up. Maybe I can help you relax."
The vampiress let her take that whatever way she wanted. I would be fun to see her reaction and figure out which way she took that. Either way, Mya was ready to dance or really get under this witch's skin.
She ran her hands through her brown hair as she stared Esme in the eyes as she looked over her. Mya took another sip then tapped her nails on the bar as she gave another innocent look.

Esme looked at Mya skeptically, what did she mean by having to help her relax? "Either by that statement you mean you're going to pick me up and carry me onto that dance floor or else you're going to try and get me dangerously drunk. And let me assure you, for the latter it will take more than a few Cosmos to get me drunk... a whole lot more."
Esme could read it on Mya's face that she wanted to get on that dance floor, but Esme couldn't seem to see herself getting anywhere near that dance floor. Esme was definitely not leaving her seat until she was headed home with her friends.
"I can see you want to get out there and dance. My friend Steve doesn't have a dance partner, you could join him if you'd like," Esme offered. It was one of the only ways she could think of getting rid of this woman. Esme felt that she didn't need any more vampires breathing down her neck.

That look she gave her was timeless. Mya laughed at her comment. The witch take it the way that vampiress guessed. Most people would, it was something that should be taken outside of the box not look dead at the evidence.
"I have no desire to get you drunk. Hell, I would even drink with you but I am sure you would be drunk before I ever do. Thats it I can be drunk," Mya said dryly.
"I don't want your friend Steve. He is not my type of dancer and probably has two left feet. No my dear I would rather keep you company. I"m sure you wouldn't forget it."
