After the last few times she had run into less than entertaining company in the gardens, Esme decided it was best to find a new natural wonder to spend her time at. That's why she had decided to wander through the Epping Forest that particular afternoon.
The wind blew softly through the trees, rustling the trees and sending the soft scent of the flowers ever which way. Esme had just found a lovely pond to sit next to and had pulled out her sketch book. She had begun to hum John Rutter's "Candlelight Carols", she was so ready for Christmas, but no where near ready for the snow that was to come with it.
She had become so engulfed by the weather, the sounds of the birds and the soft motions of the water when the fish popped up to the surface that she wouldn't have even noticed if a stag were to come and stand over her shoulder as her pencil quietly stroked the Earth onto a sheet of paper.

Getting away from it all. Okay, Autumn was hiding. Hiding from the Fifth and the recent events. She walked through the old forest, at ease in the winter sounds, a Robin bobbed along the path with her, seemingly stopping at casting a curious eye over her. She wore a black trouser suit, hidden under a thick, black tween over coat, falling to the ankle. Her kitten heeled boots crunched against the frozen ground as she walked in a daydream.
She almost stumbled into the woman, so lost in her own daze, she had to take a quick step right not to tumble into her.
"Sorry, didn't see you there..was in my own little world."

Esme was startled from her reverie to see a beautiful woman standing over her. It was almost as if the woman had stumbled across the woods, this pond, and Esme all by chance. It wasn't often that Esme had found people such as this one, in London everyone seemed to be on a mission, so this one person who was seeming to do the same thing she was attempting to do was a breath of fresh air.
"It's okay, it happens," Esme said. She knew how life has gotten so overwhelming that you need to run away, nature was the best place to do that.
"Lovely day, isn't it?" Esme questioned. And even in a world in which she would love to run away more days than most, she still didn't want to be left alone, so she attempted to start up a conversation with this beautiful new stranger.

"Could be warmer," Autumn smiled at the woman, "Then again, it is England.." She chuckled lightly and it was then, relaxed she sensed some power from the woman. What type? She was most definitely human, but there was something different about her. Easing her metaphysical walls down Autumn read the woman's aura and saw then the distant sparks of magic. A witch.
"Its beautiful here, isn't it...one of England's oldest Forests, to think London hides such a wonder..." She shrugged as she realized she was babbling and pushed her hands deep into her pockets.

Esme smiled and quietly put her pencil and sketchbook aside. "Yes," she stated, "I would prefer it to be a bit warmer, but we can't choose the weather. That's Mother Nature's job, and she'd be angry if we encroached upon her life."
Esme listened as the woman began to babble, it seemed that she had figured out something. The woman made Esme feel a bit uncomfortable, truthfully. This person seemed to be normal, no doubt about it, but she seemed to have figured out something about Esme, and that perturbed her.
"It is a lovely forest, I wish I had ventured here long ago. My name is Esme, by the way," Esme mentioned.

"Autumn Walker." Autumn said quickly. The thing with Witches, is you never know what path they choose to follow. You can sense their power, their human nature. But, Autumn pushed her concerns aside, and figured no one could be as bad as her stalker. Lucifer.
"Hate to be blunt, but you're a witch...aren't you....don't worry, I'm not going to go all religious zealot on you..." She smiled.

The woman introduced herself. Esme couldn't help but smile at her name, in light of the season. Esme knew it was rude to do something like that, but it was all too adorable.
Then she asked her one of the first faux pas in Esme's point of view. She had just recently decided that she would share her existence, but sharing it with a human with no noticeable peculiarities was something that didn't sit right with her. But she had a feeling that if she were to deny it to this woman, she would not be able to live it down. She'd suffer somehow because of that decision.
"Yes, I am. But may I ask a question, how did you know? As far as I'm aware, you are completely devoid of any special abilities."

Autumn chose to lean against an old apple tree, there was no fruit upon it now, winter stripping life from the forest. She shrugged and smiled a little when Esme said she had not abilities, this was going to be a weird conversation. But, recently, Autumn had found herself meeting new and interesting people, why should she stop now.
"Hmmm," She began trying to phrase it correctly, "I'm...geesh, erm...I see the world differently, I'm telepathic, and psychic, i dont read fortunes or things like that, I am claravoyant, I see things in the present, ghosts, spirirs, aura's and such...."

"Geesh," Esme stated as she put her sketchbook aside, "sounds like hell, no offense or anything. But seeing ghosts every time you go to buy a new outfit at Harrods would be annoying as hell. And seeing crazy things that you're boyfriend's doing with you're best friend while you were making supper for him or something, I'd hate to have that happen to me. I think it's bad enough sometimes seeing the near future, and that's only on occasion."
Esme stopped herself, she was quicklhy talking her way into a hole that she may not be able to talk her way out of if she kept talking to this stranger like that. It surprised her that she would share her ability to see the future with anyone. She hadn't told it to any of the Council or any of her previous mentors, what made this woman different? Was it because she could do something approximately the same? Was it because they were in a similar position?
"I'm sorry, I'm probably talking your ear off. That's a weird expression, 'talking your ear off'. You wouldn't think someone's ear would literally fall... off..." Esme trailed off, "Feel free to stop me at any time."

Autumn erupted in a loud giggle. This woman was utterly entertaining and had a light to her that Autumn could sense.
"Talk all you want, trust me, its a relief listening to some one talk normally about anything than listening as a soul collecter tells you the ins and outs of Lucifer's gospel..."
Maybe that was too much information, "You a local Esme? To london?"
